Mark and I are off to Pau at some ungodly hour on Thursday for a days testing and then a big press and TV launch on Friday night. The cars are just about there. Our's is all finished (although just redoing the gear box tomorrow. Michel's is getting there but there is still a bit of work to do on it. The big truck is finished and fully decorated.
The saga of the Toyota took a final twist last week when the "mate" who provided it for the past 2 years decided to take his toys home about 2 weeks ago and withdrew it from us!! Michel has luckily managed to source another (~ Euros 35k - not in the original budget!!) from Belgium which he picked up in a marathon 24 hr drive up and down France. This is now being stripped and rebuilt - not many days to go but they are hopeful that they will get it finished in time.
The start is now only 10 days away ..... oh s..t! The cars set off on the 30th ready for scrutineering in Lisbon on the 2nd. That reminds me - must change the flights to Lisbon so that we get there in time.
